Indoor grill with the outdoor grill
I live in an apartment and can not have an outdoor grill. Is there any type of indoor grill that I can get that has outdoor grill taste to the food. I have tried a George Foreman and that does not do it at all.

The best thing since sliced bead…liquid smoke. Find it where you find ketchup at the supermarket. Sprinkle it on your meat, and you’ll get the smoky flavor you’re looking missing.
No because the taste comes from the smoke.
You could set up a smoker in your oven, or you are just going to have to go to the park and use thier grill.
Liquid smoke is so phoney tasting and is very easy to overpower your food.
I reently saw on food detectives on the food network where they made thier own. That would be a lot better.
No chance in hell it will ever taste like the real thing
Even the outdoor BBQ most folks use< the propane and gas grills> do not have the flavor of cooking over charcoal or wood. That being said when I grill indoors I use a cast iron skillet with the ridges very hot and use flavorful rubs and marinades to make up for the loss of charcoal flavor. it helps.
since you are loosing the flavor the grill gives your meat, you will have to suppliment your meat’s flavor
i would recommend my favorite marinade:
3/4 cup oil
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons worchester sauce
3 tablespoons fresh parsley (or 1 dried)
2 cloves garlic
small onion
throw it all in a blender and turn to a paste… marinade your meat in that… the longer the better… i usually do it overnight. it will taste amazing.
if you want to put a few drops of liquid smoke in the marinade you could do that too.
There is a indoor grill that fits on the counter top. It has a lid that falls forward to enclose the food. Cannot recall the name but have seen it in the department stores this time of year and also on one of the TV shows that they sell all day on. It lets the meat fat drip away and you add your own sauce to the meat. I would use liquid smoke to make it taste like the real thing.
