I just received this from Amazon (not a third-party reseller) last week, and am happy to report that Weber has listened to their customers and stopped with the vents.
This cover is form-fit for my Weber Genesis S-320, and other Genesis 300 series grills. It looks great, and the velcro straps (which are now placed where the vents are pictured) keeps it from blowing off my grill. The material is quite dense, and the quality of the stitching is very good.
Having seen some of the cheaper covers that aren’t much more than tarp stitched in the shape of a grill, I was happy to spend a few bucks more. It isn’t cheap, but you get something high quality that makes your grill look nice even when it isn’t being used.
I used to own the Weber 7552 Cover, which I had on my old Genesis Silver B, and after three years, the thing still looked nice when I sold it, without so much as a loose stitch (though it did have the wonky vent over the handle). This cover feels like it’s even higher quality. Totally worth it, as far as I’m concerned.

I just received my cover from evVive and it has no mesh vents at all! Thank you, Weber! I guess someone at Weber was listening. If you have a Genesis or are thinking of getting one, you need this cover. Without it (or with a cover that lets water in), rainwater flows into the grill and ends up filling your drip pan. If your drip pan is already full of grease, you’ve got yourself a real mess. Now, I just have to return a cover to HD with mesh sides. Finally, I have to recommend evVive (the Amazon seller that filled this order). I ordered the cover yesterday afternoon at 1:00 and received it TODAY at 11:00 AM and I chose standard shipping. Amazing service!

I just purchased a Weber E320 propane grill and I ordered this cover to go with it. It fits the grill wonderfully and the people at Weber seemed to have fixed the problem with the vents. There are no vents with this cover. I ordered it from amazon.

I was a little reluctant to order the cover as the picture shows the cover with the vents, which I did not want. However, after reading the reviews, customers were receiving the more updated version with the velcro tabs, so I took a chance. I am glad I did, the cover fits perfectly and does have the velcro adjustable straps. Item arrived quickly. Very pleased with this purchase.

I was afraid to order this cover because of the poor reviews (vents in the cover). I decided to trust the reviewer who said it was a new design and did not have the vents. I ordered it in July 2009 and sure enough it does not have vents. It fits perfectly and looks very good!

This is a great grill cover. I purchased my Genesis Grill and was anticipating getting a cover immediately, but after reading the reviews from earlier in the year, I decided to postpone my decision at the time. It was great news in September when I got on Amazon and looked at covers again, because according to the reviews, the cover had been improved with no vents. My new cover looks nice, fits well and doesn’t seem to have any troubles at this time. I placed my order and had it in a week or less. This was a good purchase.

Thanks to reviewers for identifying the vent problem on earlier version. And thanks to Amazon for letting me know there was a newer version. Cover came with no vents and appears to be made from very sturdy material. The velcro straps are a very nice touch – I live on a very windy canyon and the straps will keep the cover on the grill instead of in the canyon.
